Think beyond today.
Be part of our mission to shape the UK’s future and you’ll help to benefit people for generations to come. At the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, we’re tackling climate change, creating jobs across the UK, encouraging investment, innovation and more.
Helping to spearhead Britain’s recovery following the pandemic, there’s almost no end to the impact of the work you’ll do. And with a high value placed on difference and diversity, no limits to how far you can progress. So why not think beyond the present day, and help us build the Britain of tomorrow?
Who we are
More about us
With our collective mission of Leading Britain’s Recovery, fighting the coronavirus is just one of the challenges you could be working on. You might also be involved in helping us become a net zero nation by 2050. Or delivering 40 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030. Alternatively, you could be supporting business, job creation or strengthening employee rights.
Promoting investment in our technology industries is just as important to the UK’s recovery. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to turn the country into a true science superpower. It could be research for AI, space exploration, clean energy, or any number of innovations. And here in Darlington, it will be all made possible by you.
Vision, values & culture
Our vision, values and culture
Our priorities reach far and wide, so it’s only natural we look to employ people from as many different backgrounds as possible. Not only because it’s the right thing to do. But because it will help us drive innovation. Make better decisions. And deliver a future that meets all of society’s needs.
This means you can look forward to working in a friendly, open and supportive culture. One where we encourage each other to be bold. Be innovative. And be passionate about our collective impact.
